The Sandman

A thousand staring eyes, torn paper, and nightmares: in a collaborative project, we designed a book based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s “Der Sandmann”. Dark paper collages form fragmented images that mirror Nathanael’s distorted view of the world – so the design tells the story as much as the text does.
